The Science Behind It

The Cymba Conchae is a specific region in the outer ear (highlighted in the illustration) that is uniquely innervated exclusively by the auricular branch of the vagus nerve. By applying gentle, targeted vibration to this area, the app aims to deliver non-invasive vagus nerve stimulation (taVNS).

Scientific studies have shown that stimulating this exact area can activate the parasympathetic nervous system, leading to a reduction in stress, improved heart rate variability (HRV), and a general sense of calm.
